Course Overview
Our mission for this Leadership Programme is to help the participants to become more effective as a manager by providing skills and tools for more effective and suitable* leadership. (*suitable to the organisation and themselves). Managers whose work fits them like a custom-made suit are both happier and more productive which will have a direct impact on the performance of their team members and co-operation with peers.
In the Leadership Programme “Mastering the Art of Managing the Team” participants learn how to take responsibility for their role as a manager and to choose a management style that fits both themselves and their work environment. It gives them a better understanding of who they are, how they (inter)act and implication of their actions on the surrounding. Managers who are engaged in satisfying, challenging careers that match their talents and personalities usually are more successful than others. They are healthier, live longer and tend to be more satisfied with other aspects of their lives. An ill-fitting management style contributes significantly to stress and depression, generates problems in other areas of life and has a profound negative effect on self-esteem and their environment. Your organisation will benefit directly by having managers who really feel comfortable as a manager, manage their teams better, and are more productive and motivated.

COURSE STRUCTURE
To increase the learning experience of the participants and make this “Mastering the Art of Managing the Team” training programme more beneficial for the organisation we suggest a three step approach;
- A personal online interview to define individual goals and desired outcome of the training programme. Based on the interviews the programme will be redesigned around the specific needs of the participants.
- 2 day workshop
- Individual face-to-face coaching session with each participant after the workshop.
This combination makes the "Mastering the Art of Managing the Team" a powerful learning tool and results in an 85% increase on the learning curve of participants.
During the two day training programme the participants will work with a Personal Development Plan (PDP). This PDP will be designed according the standards the organisation already has implemented.
The participants will be guided through the following steps;
- Step 1: Online questionnaire to define individual development goals related to the topics
- Step 2: Who am I?
- Step 3: The essential managerial skills to Manage a high performance team
- Step 4: Individual coaching
This will enable them to reach the best possible outcome. The material covered will be tailored to the group’s unique situation. They will work progressively, in a step-by-step manner, considering, analysing and answering all the questions you need to resolve in order to make the best steps.
The programme combines in-depth testing of natural abilities, talents, aptitudes, etc., with a complete exploration of participants' personalities, temperaments, values, commitments, passions, spirituality, habits and life-styles. We help them discover the different management models that exist and let them define for themselves which management style is best for their individual make-up. Participants get insight into many issues that really matters to them. They are introduced to important factors that they haven’t considered before, and are playing a major new role in day-to-day satisfaction and success. They learn through discussions, debates, role play and case studies. Then, they put all the pieces together into practical new (work habits) designed by themselves.
