Overview
Computer-mediated communication and the virtual world are features of daily life for so
many people, and have it been for so long, that the phrase "new media" has lost most of
its prestige. Beginning with the first electronic mail experiments in the early 1970s,
computer users have been exploring new ways to connect across physical and temporal
boundaries. E-mail was widely accepted by the business community as the first broad
electronic communication medium and was the first ‘e-revolution’ in business
communication.
This training focus on email as an communication tool in the business life, since email is
the most popular of all internet activities.
